Our community is made up of like-minded people from around the world who are united in the believe that work can be a force for good in the world.
As a community we work together to improve the experiences that individuals have in their work. We do this through speaking, coaching, writing, training and inspiring individuals and leaders to help work become a force for good. We also work to challenge the roles that work and organizations play in our societies, in an effort to help our organizations become forces for good in our communities.
Our community includes experts from every inhabited continent on the globe. Together, we believe we can help make change happen.
Working with our Community
Our community works together to learn, share ideas, challenge each other and produce a range of outputs. We connect with and help each other though a range of collaboration platforms.
If you’d like to learn more about what we do, become a member of the community or contribute to what we do, please get in touch using the contact-us section of our website.
You can learn more about the collaborative outputs that we produce as a community by exploring the different things that we do below.
We produce, publish and promote a wide range of articles aligned to our purpose of making work a force for good.
Our articles are written by a wide range of members of our community, each of whom are informed and passionate about the subjects they write about.
While we are happy to publish articles from a wide range of voices and covering a wide range of topics, we ask that all of our articles follow a set of internal guidelines, which are roughly laid out in this pdf.
If you’d like to write an article for us, please get in touch via the contact-us section of the website.
We produce, publish and promote a wide range of podcasts aligned to our purpose of making work a force for good. We generally produce two different types of podcasts: content based podcasts and interview based podcasts.
Content Based Podcasts
In our content based podcasts, two podcast hosts research and speak about a specific topic. These episodes combine a mixture of theory and practical advice in relation to the topic and they all follow roughly the same structure which is: Introduction, Key Definitions, Research Round-up, List of the Week, Lessons from the Keyboard, Key take-aways, Check-out.
These episodes are recorded either face-face, or remotely using podcast recording platforms.
Interview Based Podcasts
In our interview based podcasts, two podcast hosts interview a guest in relation to a topic they are knowledgeable and passionate about. These question based episodes contain a mixture of theory and practical discussion as well as some personal insights about the guests in them.
Though these episodes are question based, they follow similar structures and are well planned in advance of recording.
Taking Part in Podcasts
We host monthly twitter chats in which we discuss key themes with members of our community and our wider social media connections.
Each twitter chat lasts roughly an hour and focuses on a specific topic. In each chat we ask five or six questions and explore what our community think about them.
Our twitter chats are open to anyone, though each twitter-chat is facilitated by a small number of co-hosts. If you’d like to be a co-host, please get in touch with us via the contact-us section of our website.
You can learn more about our twitter chats here.
As well as working together to create content, we also like to get together face to face or virtually with members of our community from time to time. We do this either face-to-face, or via online platforms such as Zoom.
In these meet-ups we generally explore a specific topic related to our purpose, share tools and techniques in relation to it and discuss more widely how it might be possible to change organizations so that they have more positive impacts on society.
If you’d like to know more about our meet-ups, please get in touch using the contact-us section of our website.
In addition to producing content and discussing our objectives within our community, we are interested in undertaking research in relation to our various hypotheses.
We are not yet producing, issuing and analyzing surveys, but intend to do so over the coming year.
If you’d like to know more about our planned work in relation to surveys, please get in touch using the contact-us section of our website.
In addition, some members of the community provide paid services including Individual and Team Coaching, Organizational Training, Organizational Change, Professional Speaking and Facilitation services. You can learn more about each of these services in the relevant sections of our website.
