Meet the Team.

We were formed in 2018 and operate as a remote-first team with hubs in London and Edinburgh. We support clients around the world both in-person, and on-line.

Jane Stewart – Jane has twenty years experience leading organisations and teams and has a master’s degree in organizational psychology. She loves sharing her experience, facilitating difficult conversations and helping organizations become better places to work. She is based in Edinburgh and London and works on both our training and consulting business.

James Carrier – James is passionate about leadership and personal development and helping people have better lives. He works mainly on our development programmes. He’s a former chartered accountant and project manager who enjoys travel, good food and running and who is based in Edinburgh.

Dr. Joanne Gray – Joe loves improving organizations, particularly by boosting proactive behaviours. She mainly works on our consulting programmes.  Earlier in her career she was a marketing director. She’s based in Bournmouth and enjoys time with her family and travelling and writing her book(s)!

Laura Hamilton – Laura has spent her career primarily in the 3rd sector where she has operated at the leadership level. She’s particularly motivated by improving how organizations manage their volunteers. Here at the World of Work Project, she mainly works with 3rd sector clients in developing their leaders and managers. She’s based in Manchester.

Laura Fairley – Laura is passionate about encouraging people to be their best self in the workplace and believes that when teams work collaboratively, amazing things can flourish. She started out as an office junior for a Solicitor’s upon leaving school and spent most of her career Financial Services. When she isn’t working or being ‘Mum’, she enjoys running, walking and being by the sea in Fife, Scotland, where she lives!

Lee Smith – Lee is a dedicated coach and trainer who loves helping people and organizatons develop. He spent the majority of his career working as an IT director in Financial Services, before a coaching programme exploring Psychological Safety opened his eyes to th power of coaching and supporting others. He’s based in Nottingham and when not working, can be found feeding his Alpacas.
